How we map the market.
The Market Map holds businesses that joined Few Found and businesses we found in public sources. This page says what our words mean, where records come from and what you can do about yours.

Where records come from
- Open data. Wikidata, which is published under CC0, and OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database Licence). We keep the source link on every record.
- Businesses’ own websites. The home page only, and only where the site’s robots.txt allows it. If we cannot read robots.txt, we do not read the page.
- Licensed datasets and submissions. Imported only with a stated licence or with the business’s own consent.
- Never behind a login, a CAPTCHA or a paywall, and never from personal social accounts. We keep business contact details only where the business itself published them.
Our reader identifies itself as FewFoundAtlas/1.0 (+https://www.fewfound.co/atlas/bot; market mapping; contact [email protected]). To keep it out, disallow it in your robots.txt.
What AI does here, and what it does not
AI can suggest a category, summarise what a business says about itself on its own website, and read search questions. Every AI-written line is labelled. AI never verifies a business: verification is a human check by Few Found.
Correct or remove your business
Every profile has links to claim, correct or remove it. A confirmed removal takes the profile down at once; we then delete the record and keep only what is needed to never add it again (the domain, or the name and country).
